The NPC is working hard alongside our coaches to get the 2020 Paddling season started. More on 2020 coaches coming soon!
My name is Zoe Taylor, the 2021 head coach for the Nelson Paddling Club. I would describe myself as a genuine, positive person and I am so excited to get to know everyone and I will do my very best to help you achieve your paddling goals.
I have been passionate about paddling for five years now and coaching since 2019. I also have experience coaching for the Nelson Nordic Ski Club, and am ready to use everything I know and have learned to create and direct the very best programs possible. I have learned lots from everyone I have coached and coached with along the way. In addition, I always make sure to stay up to date on all the newest coaching techniques, in order to be the best coach I can be.
I have experience paddling at several regattas and attended the 2019 Nationals in Regina, Saskatchewan. While paddling is my main activity, I also enjoy cross country skiing, mountain biking, and spending time outdoors in general. This fall I will be studying Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC.
Above all else this summer, I want to get as many people as possible out to experience the joy of paddling on Kootenay Lake! I look forward to meeting you.
